Rockwell Home Management
Preserving assets. Protecting independence.

Built for the homes and families of the Chippewa Valley.

A locally owned, professionally credentialed partner for the home itself.

Rockwell Home Management exists because adult children, aging parents, and busy professionals deserve a single accountable partner for the property they care about most. We are not a contractor. We are not a care service. We are the steady hand on the home, so the people inside it can focus on each other.

Founder

Jose Lagunas Jr.

Wisconsin firefighter. Fire inspector. Founder of Rockwell.

Rockwell Home Management was founded by Jose Lagunas Jr., a full-time Firefighter, Paramedic, and Fire Inspector. After a career spent walking into homes on the hardest day of someone's life, Jose started Rockwell to offer the opposite kind of visit: the calm, scheduled, professional kind that helps make those harder days less likely.

The work is grounded in what a first responder actually sees. Slow water leaks that became foundation issues. Smoke alarms with dead batteries. Trip hazards in dim hallways. Vacant homes that froze and split. Aging parents whose adult children lived two states away and were running on guilt. None of these are exotic problems. All of them respond to consistent, professional attention.

Credentials and community.
  • Full-time Firefighter / Paramedic
  • Certified Fire Inspector, State of Wisconsin
  • Member, Chippewa Falls Chamber of Commerce
  • Veteran of multi-agency hospital fire-system commissioning and acceptance testing
  • Founder of Custos Hub by Rockwell, the environmental and activity awareness platform built specifically for in-home stewardship

Rockwell is the company Jose wished existed when his own family started navigating these conversations. It is built for the families that live in this corner of Wisconsin, served by someone who lives and works inside the same emergency response system that shows up when something goes wrong.

What Rockwell Believes

Four principles that shape every plan, every visit, every report.

Stewardship over Transaction

A home is an asset, a sanctuary, and the foundation for staying independent. We treat it that way. Every visit, every report, and every coordinated vendor call is in service of the long arc of the home, not a one-time fix.

Person-Directed Service

The older adult living in the home is the decision-maker. Family members and care partners support that. Every Rockwell plan is shaped by what the person at home actually wants, and adjusts as their preferences and needs evolve.

Coordinated, Not Conflicted

Rockwell coordinates and oversees the work of vetted local trades. We do not perform repairs, and we do not profit from upsells. That separation keeps our recommendations honest and our incentives aligned with the family we serve.

Quiet, Considered Technology

Custos Hub by Rockwell adds environmental awareness and activity awareness to every plan, without cameras and without intruding on the home. Technology should make a person feel more at ease in their home, not watched in it.

What Makes Rockwell Different

Other services touch the home. Rockwell stewards it.

Local, Owner-Operated

Rockwell is owned and operated by a Chippewa Valley firefighter. You are not calling a national franchise or a software-only platform. You are calling Jose, or someone Jose trained personally.

Credentialed by Profession

Our founder reads the same fire and life-safety codes by day that inform every Rockwell audit by evening. That training shows up in the report you receive after your $150 Home Safety and Readiness Audit.

One Point of Accountability

One number to call. One person who knows the home. One coordinated plan that touches plumbing, HVAC, security, seasonal preparation, and stewardship documentation, without the family having to project-manage any of it.

Technology That Serves People

Custos Hub by Rockwell is built around dignity. It surfaces environmental risks and quiet patterns of daily life, then steps back. The goal is awareness, not observation.

Predictable, Subscription-Based

Three monthly plans, flat pricing, no surprise invoices for routine stewardship. You always know what your relationship with Rockwell costs.

Family-Inclusive Reporting

Adult children and designated family members receive written updates after every visit. Distance no longer means being out of the loop.

The Rockwell Standard

Our Client Bill of Rights.

Every Rockwell relationship rests on a short set of commitments we make to the person at home and the family who loves them.

You Direct Your Own Home

The person living in the home is the decision maker. Every Rockwell plan is shaped by what you want, and it adjusts as your preferences and needs change.

Our Guidance Stays Honest

Rockwell coordinates and oversees vetted local trades. We do not perform the repairs ourselves, and we do not profit from upsells, so the recommendations you receive serve you, not a sales quota.

You Always Know Where You Stand

You receive a written report after every visit, with flat, predictable pricing and no surprise invoices for routine stewardship.

Your Dignity Comes First

Custos Hub by Rockwell adds environmental awareness and activity awareness on terms you set, designed to help you feel more at ease in your own home.

Your Family Stays in the Loop

Designated family members receive written updates after every visit, so distance never means being left out of what is happening at home.

Professional Standards and References

The frameworks that inform how we work.

Rockwell's approach to home stewardship for older adults is informed by the standards and research of national and Wisconsin organizations dedicated to aging in place and person-directed practice.

Rooted in the Chippewa Valley

We serve a place we know personally.

Rockwell is built for Chippewa Falls, Eau Claire, Lake Hallie, Lake Wissota, Bloomer, Cornell, Stanley, and the rural communities in between. We know the seasons that test a Wisconsin home. We know the rural addresses that ambulances and plow trucks struggle to find. We know the older homes whose original owners are still in them, and want to stay.

As a member of the Chippewa Falls Chamber of Commerce and an active participant in the local first-responder community, Rockwell exists inside the same network of trades, vendors, and neighbors that you already trust. When we coordinate a plumber or an HVAC company on your behalf, it is one of the same local trades we would call for our own families.

Start with a Conversation

Every Rockwell relationship begins with the $150 Home Safety and Readiness Audit. You walk away with a written report and prioritized recommendations, whether or not you continue with a monthly plan.
