Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the website at rockwellhomemanagement.com (the "Site") and the services provided by Rockwell Home Management, LLC, a Wisconsin limited liability company ("Rockwell," "we," "us," or "our"), including the $150 Home Safety & Readiness Audit, subscription home management tiers (Essential Watch, Premier Management, Estate Concierge), and the Custos Hub by Rockwell platform (collectively, the "Services").
By using the Site, requesting a consultation, subscribing to a service tier, or opting in to text messages from us, you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the Services.
1. Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old and able to enter into a binding contract to use the Services. By using the Services, you represent that you meet these requirements. Services are offered to households in Eau Claire and Chippewa Counties, Wisconsin, and surrounding areas at our discretion.
Where a client is unable to enter into a contract directly, a spouse, adult child, court-appointed guardian, or attorney-in-fact under a valid power of attorney may enter into and administer the service relationship on the client's behalf. Rockwell may request reasonable documentation (such as a copy of the power of attorney or guardianship order) before delivering services in these circumstances.
2. Description of Services
What Rockwell provides
- Home Safety & Readiness Audit ($150): a structured, in-person consultation covering household safety, vendor preparedness, and home-readiness considerations, delivered as a written report.
- Subscription home management tiers: ongoing coordination of household needs, vendor dispatch, and (where included) Custos Hub by Rockwell deployment with sensor-based home safety alerts and activity awareness.
- Custos Hub by Rockwell: a sensor-based home safety platform using non-intrusive environmental and activity-awareness sensors. The hub produces alerts about water, temperature, motion, and door/window events as configured by the client.
What Rockwell is not
Rockwell Home Management is not a home health agency, caregiver service, medical provider, security service, or emergency response service. We do not provide hands-on care, medication administration, skilled nursing, security guard services, or emergency dispatch. Custos Hub alerts are informational and are not a substitute for 911, a medical alert system, or a monitored security system. In any emergency, dial 911.
3. Accounts and Account Security
Access to the Rockwell member portal and admin tools requires an account secured by email-based one-time passcode authentication. You are responsible for keeping your account credentials confidential and for all activity on your account. Notify us promptly at info@rockwellhomemanagement.com if you suspect unauthorized access.
4. SMS and Text Messaging Terms
The following terms apply to anyone who provides a mobile phone number to Rockwell, whether through the Site, by phone, or in person.
Consent to receive messages
By providing your mobile number to Rockwell Home Management, you consent to receive service-related text messages from us at that number, including appointment reminders, service updates, Custos Hub alerts, billing notifications, and replies to your inquiries. Consent to receive text messages is not a condition of purchasing any Rockwell service.
How we use your mobile information
Mobile phone numbers and SMS consent are used only by Rockwell Home Management and are never sold, rented, or shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing purposes. See our Privacy Policy SMS section for full details.
Message frequency
Frequency varies by activity. Most clients receive 1 to 4 messages per consultation cycle or per active service event. Custos Hub alert frequency depends on sensor configuration and household activity.
Message and data rates
Msg & data rates may apply. Standard message and data rates from your mobile carrier may apply. Rockwell does not charge a separate fee for text messages.
HELP and STOP
- Reply HELP to any Rockwell text for assistance, or contact (715) 255-0235 or info@rockwellhomemanagement.com.
- Reply STOP at any time to opt out of further text messages from the program you are texting. You will receive an opt-out confirmation message.
- Opting out of SMS does not cancel your underlying Rockwell service or affect non-SMS communication channels (email, phone).
Carrier disclaimer
Mobile carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages. Delivery of any text message is subject to effective transmission by your mobile carrier and is not guaranteed.
Supported carriers
SMS is supported on major U.S. carriers, including AT&T, Verizon Wireless, T-Mobile, US Cellular, and others. Service availability is at the discretion of the carriers.

5. Payment, Billing, and Cancellation
- Audit fee ($150): due at the time of booking, processed by Stripe. Non-refundable once the consultation has been delivered. Refundable in full if Rockwell cancels or reschedules and is unable to deliver the service.
- Subscription tiers: billed monthly in advance unless otherwise agreed in writing. You may cancel a subscription at any time effective at the end of the current billing cycle by contacting us at the address below; pro-rated refunds are not provided for partial months.
- Vendor work: third-party vendor invoices (plumbing, electrical, HVAC, etc.) are billed separately, either directly by the vendor or passed through by Rockwell with prior client authorization.
- Late payment: accounts more than 30 days past due may have services suspended.
- Price changes: we may change subscription prices with at least 30 days' advance written notice.
6. Custos Hub by Rockwell: Specific Terms
Rockwell is not a 24/7 monitored alert service. Custos Hub alerts are delivered to the client and to any authorized contacts the client designates. The client and authorized contacts are responsible for receiving, evaluating, and acting on alerts. Rockwell does not guarantee real-time human review of alerts and is not responsible for outcomes resulting from any party's failure or delay in responding to an alert. In any emergency, dial 911.
- Custos Hub hardware deployed in a client home remains the property of Rockwell unless explicitly purchased. Upon termination of service, the client agrees to provide reasonable access for Rockwell to retrieve the hub and sensors.
- Alerts depend on power, internet connectivity, and operational sensors. Rockwell does not guarantee uninterrupted alert delivery and is not liable for missed alerts caused by power loss, internet outage, carrier failure, hardware failure, or environmental conditions outside Rockwell's control.
- The Custos Hub does not include cameras or microphones for activity awareness.
- Clients are responsible for maintaining a working internet connection and electrical service at the property.
7. Acceptable Use
You agree not to: (a) use the Services for any unlawful purpose; (b) attempt to gain unauthorized access to Rockwell systems or another client's information; (c) interfere with the operation of the Site or Services; (d) misrepresent your identity or affiliation; or (e) use any automated means to scrape, harvest, or extract data from the Site beyond what is permitted by our robots.txt and llms.txt files.
8. Intellectual Property
The Site, the Custos Hub by Rockwell name and brand, the Rockwell Home Management name and logo, written content, and proprietary platform code are owned by Rockwell Home Management, LLC or its licensors. Subject to these Terms, we grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to access the Site and use the Services for their intended purpose. You may not copy, modify, distribute, or create derivative works of our content without prior written consent.
9. Third-Party Services and Vendors
Rockwell coordinates and dispatches third-party vendors on a client's behalf. Vendor work is performed under the vendor's own terms, license, and insurance. Rockwell screens vendors but is not liable for the workmanship, conduct, or warranties of third-party vendors. Disputes with a vendor should be raised first with the vendor; Rockwell will assist with reasonable advocacy on the client's behalf.
10. Disclaimer of Warranties
THE SITE AND SERVICES ARE PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING WITHOUT LIMITATION ANY IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. ROCKWELL DOES NOT WARRANT THAT THE SERVICES WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED OR ERROR-FREE, OR THAT ALL ALERTS WILL BE DELIVERED OR ACTED UPON IN ANY PARTICULAR TIMEFRAME.
Audit reports, written recommendations, and any guidance provided by Rockwell are general home safety and readiness information and are not medical, legal, financial, or insurance advice. Clients should consult qualified professionals for medical, legal, financial, or insurance questions.
11. Limitation of Liability
TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, ROCKWELL'S AGGREGATE LIABILITY ARISING OUT OF OR RELATING TO THE SERVICES SHALL NOT EXCEED THE GREATER OF (A) THE AMOUNTS PAID BY YOU TO ROCKWELL IN THE TWELVE (12) MONTHS PRECEDING THE EVENT GIVING RISE TO THE CLAIM, OR (B) ONE HUNDRED FIFTY DOLLARS ($150). IN NO EVENT SHALL ROCKWELL BE LIABLE FOR INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, INCLUDING LOST PROFITS, LOSS OF DATA, OR PROPERTY DAMAGE, EVEN IF ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES. SOME JURISDICTIONS DO NOT ALLOW THE EXCLUSION OR LIMITATION OF CERTAIN DAMAGES, SO THESE LIMITATIONS MAY NOT APPLY TO YOU.
Nothing in this Section limits liability for (a) personal injury or death caused by Rockwell's negligence, (b) gross negligence or intentional misconduct, (c) fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or (d) any liability that cannot be excluded or limited under applicable law.
12. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Rockwell Home Management, LLC, its officers, employees, and contractors from any claims, damages, liabilities, costs, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising out of (a) your breach of these Terms, (b) your misuse of the Services, or (c) your violation of any law or the rights of any third party.
13. Termination
We may suspend or terminate your access to the Services at any time for non-payment, breach of these Terms, or conduct that we reasonably believe puts our team, clients, or vendors at risk. You may cancel services as described in Section 5. Sections that by their nature should survive termination (including payment, intellectual property, disclaimer, liability, indemnification, and governing law) will survive.
14. Governing Law and Disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Wisconsin, without regard to its conflict-of-laws principles. The parties agree to attempt to resolve any dispute in good faith before resorting to formal proceedings. Any unresolved dispute shall be brought exclusively in the state or federal courts located in Chippewa County or Eau Claire County, Wisconsin, and you consent to personal jurisdiction in those courts.
15. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. The updated Terms will be posted on this page with a revised "Last updated" date. For material changes, we will provide additional notice (for example, by email or a prominent website notice). Continued use of the Services after the effective date of the updated Terms constitutes acceptance.
16. Miscellaneous
- Entire agreement: these Terms, together with the Privacy Policy and any signed service agreement, constitute the entire agreement between you and Rockwell.
- Severability: if any provision is held unenforceable, the remaining provisions remain in full force.
- No waiver: our failure to enforce any right or provision is not a waiver of that right.
- Assignment: you may not assign these Terms without our prior written consent; we may assign these Terms in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets.
